In April 2024 representatives of Institute of Information and Communication Technologies –IICT-BAS (coordinator of NCHDC) and the National Institute of Geophysics, Geodesy and Geography (NIGGG-BAS, coordinator of NGIC) held a series of working meetings regarding hosting services on the Avitohol supercomputer for the needs of the NGIC. Avitohol is the main supercomputing system of the NCHDC and provides transparent and secure access and services to other scientific infrastructures and to Bulgarian researchers in a 24/7/365 mode. The two infrastructure projects (NCHDC and NGIC) funded by the Ministry of Education and Science under the National Roadmap for Scientific Infrastructures, have been cooperating for years. The joint activities planned for 2024 were endorsed at a working meeting held on 12 April 2024.
