On December 5, an Open Doors Day was held at the VIBraTE Neurotechnology Laboratory at IICT-BAS, block 25A, hall 218, Sofia, with the aim of introducing interested parties to the work of the laboratory, which was established within the framework of the European Commission-funded project “VIBraTE” (grant no. 101086815). The objectives of the lab are to model and investigate the properties, geometry, and mechanical effects of the interaction of the brain with the implanted electrodes. Neurotechnology refers to a broad field of science and technology that focuses on understanding, manipulating, and interacting with the nervous system. Ongoing research and advances in neurotechnology promise the future of brain research, healthcare, and human-machine interactions. Neurotechnology combines knowledge and techniques from neuroscience, engineering, computer science, and other related disciplines to develop tools, devices, and methods for studying and modulating the brain and nervous system.
