Students majoring in Computer Systems and Technologies from the University of Food Technologies – Plovdiv, led by Prof. Atanaska Bosakova-Ardenska, visited IICT-BAS on April 1, 2024. The group was welcomed by Prof. Emanouil Atanassov and the experts Maria Durchova and Alexander Kirilov. The program of the visit included:
1) Guided tour of the High-Performance Computing Centre of IICT-BAS
2) Training workshop
The students were introduced to the high-performance systems located at IICT-BAS. Special attention was paid to the Data Centre, which includes a data storage system with a capacity of 6.72 PetaBytes and the new supercomputer HEMUS with a peak performance of over 3 PetaFlops.
